Cyndy Violette to Host Online Poker Tournament at Full Tilt Poker

Soon to be Poker Hall of Famer Cyndy Violette is set to host an online poker event on Full Tilt Poker on May 17th, 2009 to benefit three non-profit organizations. Violette will host a $5 +$5 non-profit profit event with the first $5 going to the cash pool and the 2nd getting divided between the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Paralyzed Veterans of America and Special Olympics.

The cash will be given through Poker Gives, a non-profit organization started by poker pros Mike Sexton, Linda Johnson, Jan Fischer and Lisa Tenner to give poker enthusiasts a simple way to give some of their winnings to notable causes. Players can find the charity event in the private portion of the tournament lobby at Full Tilt Poker. To enter, players need to log-in their Full Tilt Poker account, push "control T" and enter 9105889. The password for the event is "charity".

The poker event is an opportunity to help out good non-profit groups as well as play at the table with Ms. Violette. Violette achieved some of her first poker event cash ins in the early 1980's and has since earned more than $1 million in event winnings and a WSOP bracelet. This summer, Cyndy Violette will be recognized for her achievements in the poker circuit with her induction into the Women Poker Hall of Fame on June 5th, 2009 at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada.
