Joe Pelton, a relative newcomer in the pro poker circuit, was named champion of the WPT Legends of Poker Tournament. Pelton took home $1.5 million from the win.

The final nine players for the 2008 WSOP Main Event table will soon be known. The two players that are vying for a final table slot are Phil Hellmuth and Ramzi Jelazzi.

The WSOP has recently released their schedule for the 2008-2009 poker season. WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack said that players will always enjoy each of the poker stop in the circuit.

Michael DeMichele is the runner-up of Scotty Nguyen at the H.O.R.S.E. world championship. He won $1.2 million.

German Martin Klaser is the champion of the Event#43 of the 2008 WSOP. He defeated Casey Kastle in the heads-up showdown.

Some of the events that have taken place on June 30th are the Event#48 of the WSOP and other. But the most talk about event is the $2,000 No Limit Holdem event won by Alexandre Gomes.

Jose Velador and Sebastian Ruthenberg are the champions of the Event #32 and #33 of the 2008 WSOP respectively. Velador won against Anthony Signore and Ruthenberg won against Ferguson.

Poker pro John Phan was able to to win his 2nd WSOP bracelet at the Event#40. He won his first bracelet at the Event#29 of the WSOP.

The European Poker Tour recently release their schedule for the season V of the tour. EPT founder John Duthie said that he is hoping that the tour will attract even more players.

Phil Ivey and Golden Nugget will host a poker event at the Golden Nugget casino on July 1st, 2008. The main beneficiary for the Budding Ivey Foundation and its Empowered 2 Excel program.
