Jack Links Beef Jerky is offering a four-of-a kind promotion at the 2009 WSOP. Anyone who makes four-of-a kind jacks hand will receive an additional prize package of $100 from the group.

The Day one D of the WSOP experienced chaos as players rushed to register for the 2009 WSOP Main Event. A lot of players had to be turned away because the rooms are already in its maximum capacity.

Commissioner Pollack said that it was very unfortunate that they had to turn away players at the Main Event. He added that they are looking for options to prevent the problem from occuring again.

Past WSOP Main Event champions Jerry Yang and Peter Eastgate are back to participate at the 2009 WSOP Main Event. The tournament is expected to attract more than six thousand participants.

British poker pros are doing well at the 2009 WSOP Main Event. Poker pro Roland De Wolfe said that it is a good development for the British poker circuit.

Vitaly Lunkin defeated Isaac Haxton to win the $40K No Limit Holdem Commemorative Tournament. Lunkin won a total of $1,891,012 while Haxton won a total of $1,168,566.

Poker pro Thang Luu edges out competitors to win the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Event bracelet. He defeated Ed Smith in the heads-up showdown to take home the championship.

Carlos Mortensen holds the chip lead at the 2009 WSOP Champions Invitational final table. On the other hand, Phil Hellmuth only possess 1,125 in total chips.

The 10K 7-Card Stud World Championship event will be the hardest event to win in the WSOP. Poker pro Jeffrey Lisandro said that the reason why is that the level of playing in the event is very high.

Poker Pro Nick Schulman defeated Ville Wahlbeck to win the $10K Deuce-to-Seven championship. Schulman won a total of $279,742.

Swedish poker pro Tomas Alenius is the 4th Swedish player to take home a WSOP bracelet. Alenius won the Event #26 $1,500 Limit Holdem.

The 3rd Ante Up for Africa tournament will be on July 2nd, 2009. The main beneficiaries of the event are the ENOUGH project and Refugees International.

The changes made at the game play of the $10K Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo Event confused a lot of players. But tournament director Jack Effel said that the changes were made for late registrants.

Peter Traply defeated Andrew Lichtenberger to win the $5,000 No Limit Holdem Shootout. Traply won a total of $348,728.

Phil Ivey is the champion of the $2,500 dollars Deuce-to-Seven Lowball event. He won a total of $96,361 dollars.
