Jack Links Beef Jerky Offers 4-of-a kind Promotion at the 2009 WSOP

Jack Link's Beef Jerky has been the main sponsor for the 2009 world series of poker and beef snack group is giving participants more cash incentive to prepare for the WSOP Main Event. The company announced its "Stacked Jacks Go Wild promotion on June 30th, 2009, which will run throughout the WSOP Main Event. Any participant in the Main Event that ends with 4 jacks as their final card hand will get a Jack Link's prize pack worth more than $100.

All participants and card hands are eligible for the cash prize. Jeff LeFever, the director of marketing for Jack Link's said that 4-of-a kind jacks has always been a terrific hand. He added that with "Stacked Jacks Go Wild" it just got even better. While the additional prizes are a good idea, it is not known how the "Stacked Jacks Go Wild" promotion will affect game play in the WSOP Main Event.

The interesting nature of Jack Link's Beef Jerky could present some interesting choices at the poker tables for participants who might only be thinking of putting four jacks together instead of executing outstanding No Limit Holdem technique. Poker pro Daniel Negreanu is one participant whose play won't be affected by the Jack Link's promotion.

WSOP vice president Ty Stewart said that competing for the biggest cash prize in sports is a serious endeavor but it is still the game of poker after all and poker should always be exciting. He added that they are very happy that Jack Link's is celebrating sponsorship by bringing another phase of excitement to the gaming floor of the World Series of Poker.
