The Poker Tour of the Americas Release Schedule for their 2009 Poker Season

On October 13th, 2008, the Poker Tour of the Americas, created by Vegas Promotions Systems Incorporated, has recently released the schedule for their inaugural poker season. The Poker Tour of the Americas (PTA) will have a total of 5 stops during the 2009 poker season and when it commences its 2nd season its plans to improve to 6 stops.

The tentative schedule for the 2009 season is: February 21st, 2009-February 27th, 2009-Guayaquil, Ecuador, April 10th, 2009-April 17th, 2009-San Jose, Costa Rica, June 5th, 2009-June 12th, 2009, Vancouver, British, Columbia, August 15th, 2009-August 21st, 2009-Cartagena, Colombia, October 24th, 2008-October 30th, 2009-Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The tour will also feature a Tournament of Champions to top off the 2009 season. The dates and locations for that event will be announced in the succeeding weeks as well.

The tournaments are invitational events, with players from all over the world able to win slots via online poker events and live local satellite events. Initially, the tour was slated to be held at South American locations only but since its creation was launched, the tour has improved to cover both North and South America.

Aside from promoting the PTA, Vegas Promotions Systems Incorporated will also be the executive producer of the video programming and plans to air the events throughout North and South America.
