Binions Casino Announces Schedule for 2nd Annual Poker Open

The well-known Binion's Casino located in the downtown area of Las Vegas has announced the schedule for the 2nd yearly Poker Open that will begin on October 15th, 2008. Glenn Casale, the director of casino operations said that more than three thousand people participated in the first Poker Open. He said that the players were satisfied with the whole event that they practically petitioned the casino to make it an annual poker event.

The twenty-one poker event series runs through November 3rd, 2008 and features buy-in cost as small as $100 up to $500 for the preliminary events. A number of different poker variations are also offered in the tournament like no-limit hold'em, pot limit Omaha 8 or better, seven card stud eight or better, H.O.R.S.E. and a ladies no limit poker holdem event. Super-satellites for $75 will run from October 23rd, 2008 and October 29th, 2008 for the $500 buy-in cost event.

On November 2nd, 2008, there will be a Players Appreciation event. For a player to qualify for the event, they must at least possess a receipt to show proof of participating in an event. The buy-in cost is $100 which entitles a player with a single receipt 2,000 chips. For an additional $10, an extra 2,000 chips is added. For every receipt shown after that to a maximum of 4, 2,000 more chips are given. 2% from each previous poker event cash prize pool is withheld for the cash pool of the Player Appreciation event, together with the buy-ins.

One slot to the $1,000 buy-in cost championship event will be given to every participant who makes it to the final table. The no limit holdem championship tournament will happen on November 3rd, 2008.

A $150 buy-in super satellite will start at 5:00 p.m. on November 2nd, 2008 for players to get into the $1,000 buy-in cost for cheap. Participants can register on the day of the tournament, 3 hours before the no limit holdem events and 2 hours before all others tournaments.
