Poker Charity for Cystic Fibrosis

FifthAlarm Poker is set to host one of the largest online charity poker events in history. FifthAlarm Poker will be launching the event on Aug. 7 at 8:30 pm EST. For every player that enters the event, $25.00 will be donated by FifthAlarm Poker to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or CFF.

Firefighter John Molnar of the Men and Women of Fire and EMS is the brain behind the idea.

"I really enjoy trying to help people and making a difference in peoples lives. In this particular cause it strikes close to home for me as my brother-in-law is battling this genetic disease," he said.

Molnar invited everyone to join the Firefighter's Poker League and stressed that membership does not require one to be a firefighter. He also encourages people to help the site by advertising it on their personal blogs or MySpace sites, even at their workplace if that is allowed.

Webmasters are also encouraged to advertise on their site. In turn, advertisers are made sponsors of the event and will be featured on their special sponsors page.

The firefighter would also like to extend his thanks to SiriusForPoker.com for donating a Sportster Radio for use as the grand prize in the event.
