The Charity Poker Event for Devin Porter's Father

On May 19th, 2008, poker pro Devin Porter held a charity event on PokerStars. The event is a $30 + $3 buy-in cost no limit holdem tournament and can be seen in the personal tab under P5's non-profit organization. The password that participants needed is pocketfives.

The profits of the event were allotted to the cancer treatment of Dean Porter, Devin Porter's father. The participants in the event were asked to give fifty percent of their winnings to Porter's plight, but a lot of players in the online poker circuit have already promised to give more to Dean Porter's cause.

Some of the poker players who have participated in the event are Kevin "BeL0WaB0ve" Saul, James "jcamby33" Campbell, Adam "Roothlus" Levy, Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby, Shawn "WestTexasMan" Rice, Joel "tekiller" Devries, Josh "bbbbb33" Weizer, Jonathan "wein" Wein, Todd "koolkeith13" Lewis, and Jeremy "EndlessJ" Menard.

There are also some poker enthusiasts who have participated in the event in order to get the chance to play against the best online poker players in the world and to help a good cause.
