Heads-Up Publicly Announces Details for 2008 Canadian Poker Championships

On January 2nd, 2008, Heads-Up Entertainment Incorporated is happy to announced that the 2008 Canadian Open Poker Tournament Championships will happen on March 5th, 2008-March 9th, 2008 at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The event will feature five events with a prize pool of more than $1.3 Canadian Dollars.

The first event will be a charity event with five percent of the cash pool being given to Breast Cancer Research. It will be a $500 buy-in cost, freeze out event with a total capacity of two hundred fifty players.

The second event or the main event will have a $5,000 buy-in cost, heads-up event with a total capacity of 128 gamblers. Some top poker pros and international celebrities have already signified their intention to attend the event which will be shown all over Canada and all over the world. The third event is a $1,500 buy-in cost, short handed event with a total capacity of two hundred players.

The fourth event is a $1,000 buy-in event with a freezeout format and fifth event is a $500 buy-in cost with a freezeout format. Both events are expected to have 300 players. The President and Chief Executive Officer of the company Kelly B. Kellner commented that they are very happy to be hosting the event in Calgary at the Deerfoot Casino facility.

She added their previous event attracted top players like Antonio Esfandiari, Andy Bloch, Nenad Medic and Huck Seed and even Canadian poker pros like Greg Mueller and Brad Booth.
