Bodog Poker Gives Out Packages for the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event

Looking for a way to participate in a prestigious poker event? Bodog has the answer for your problem: A Euro Main Event Semifinal that will feature up at least two prize packages to participate in the 2008 world series of poker Europe Main Event. Bodog Poker is guaranteeing at least two prize packages, each worth $24,000. The prize packages include a slot in the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event as well as a roundtrip airfare to London, a high-end card service to and from the airport, a hotel accommodations, Bodog player apparel and gear and some pocket money.

There is not much left either to win a slot to the World Series of Poker Main Event. The Main Event is scheduled to start on September 27th, 2008 and will end on October 2nd, 2008. Last year, the World Series of Poker Europe Main Event attracted around 363 players, a lot of them already established in the poker industry, who were willing to shell out the ten thousand pounds buy-in cost for a shot at glory. The tournament did not disappoint as several poker pros were able to go into distance to get some of the 3,676,990 pounds cash pool.

Known names like Jamie Gold, Erick Lindgren, Annie Duke and others littered the prize list. But it was 19 year-old Internet phenom Annette Obrestad who ended up winning the one million pounds. Though he did not get a win, there was a Bodog player at the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event who also made a big impression. Matt McCullough turned his slot won at Bodog Poker into a 3rd place finished.
