On May 25th, 2008, Full Tilt Poker has announced that they will be holding the Mini Series of Poker, which will be running on the same schedule as the 2008 world series of poker but only requiring buy-ins one/on hundredth of the original buy-in cost that is required in the actual World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas. It is becoming the usual trend nowadays on most online poker rooms: give poker enthusiasts that possess a minimum amount of bankroll the opportunity to participate in poker events that imitate the top class poker gaming format of the WSOP in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Full Tilt Mini Series of Poker will begin on May 30th, 2008 and will end on July 5th, 2008 with a total of fifty-four poker events. The ladies event and seniors' event have been modified to open style poker events because of the web format but the casino employee poker event has been taken out of the line-up. Each champion in the event will take home a specially-crafted Full Tilt champion's watch aside from the first place cash prize. Participants can even win a slot into the 2009 WSOP Main Event by finishing on the top of the Mini Series of Poker leader board.
Taking a quick review on the schedule of the MSOP, participants can see a lot of $15 +$1.50 buy-in cost No-Limit Holdem events for participants with only a minimum amount of bankroll but there is a $500 +$35 H.O.R.S.E. poker event for those participants that want to join a more challenging event. The MSOP event will have a guaranteed cash pool of more than $700,000.
