On October 31st, 2007, Poker player Lee Child, who is represented by Card Player Media, recently triumphed at the inaugural Executive Poker Tour at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. The $2,500 buy-in cost poker event was well-attended by some of the most respected names in poker and will be televised on television at a later date.
The poker event also helped raise some needed cash for Project Lifesaver. Childs said that the format of the tournament is one of the best that he has ever seen on his entire playing career. It was really a good tournament and it catered to different kinds of players.
Childs, who is well known in the poker circuit for finishing in 7th place at the recently concluded 2007 WSOP Main Event also make time and donate cash to a number of non-profit organizations like the American Cancer Society, the Make a Wish Foundation and the Alzheimer's Association.
The Executive Poker Tour is a charitable organization that was founder by poker player and entrepreneur Rick Rahim, who is also an executive director of the Project Lifesaver Foundation.
The Project Lifesaver Foundation gives people who might wander off unprotected like senior citizens, mentally impaired kids and adults an electronic device that will give a signal to concerned individuals to look for the person in case they wander off unknowingly.
