Arnold Thimons Participates at the Third Season of the Poker After Dark in NBC

On March 23rd, 2009, Arnold Thimons will try to accomplish what no online poker qualifier has ever accomplished before-actually last long on and win the Dream Table on Poker After Dark. Beginning tonight, the widely known poker show of NBC will start broadcasting its third installment of the "Dream Table" where it deviates a little from its usual six-handed tournament structure of big-name poker pros by placing one online poker qualifiers and allowing the player to pick his opponents.

The champion will take home $120,000. NBC placed two online poker qualifiers into Poker After Dark in the previous seasons of the PAD, but neither online qualifier was able to win against the six-handed poker tournament.

All of the big 5 poker names Thimons picked are regulars on Poker After Dark, although a number of the players will likely be eager to earn another win onto their tournament record. Mike Matusow has a record of one-ten on Poker After Dark, while Daniel Negreanu (one-six) and Phil Laak (one-four) have not won a PAD title since the first season of the show.
