The Dream Table Match at the Poker After Dark

On March 13th, 2009, for the third time in the show's history, an amateur player will get an opportunity of edging out a line-up of formidable poker pros on NBC's "Poker After Dark". Poker player Arnold Thimons won his slot onto the show's Dream Table III through a freeroll event, earning the right to pick the poker players that he wants to compete against for the $120,000 winner-take-all cash prize. Thimons picked to take on a formidable group of poker players like Johnny Chan, Mike Matusow, Phil Laak and Jennifer Tilly at his Dream Poker Table.

So far, no amateur poker player has won the Dream Table match title on "Poker After Dark" and Thimons, a resident of Greensburg, Pennsylvania will have his work cut out for him as he tries to become the first poker player to won the title. Everyone of Thimon's opponents on the match is a veteran of the Poker After Dark, with Johnny Chan currently possessing the best record, having won three of his 5 previous matches. Negreanu, Laak and Matusow each earned a single victory on the show, while Jennifer Tilly is the only one picked by Thimons who has yet to win a "Poker After Dark" title.
