The 3rd World Series of Poker Europe at the Casino at the Empire

On April 13th, 2009, dates for the 3rd yearly world series of poker Europe sponsored by Betfair have been publicly announced by Harrah's Entertainment. This year's WSOPE will run from September 17th, 2009 until October 1st, 2009 at the Casino at the Empire in London and like in 2008, will offer a total of four bracelet poker events. World Series of Poker (WSOP) Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack said that the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has quickly established a reputation as the most prestigious poker event outside the United States.

The staging of the World WSOPE in September 17th until October 1st, 2009 means that like what happen last year, the WSOPE series and main event will be happening during the break between the conclusion of the play at WSOP in Las Vegas, Nevada and the completion of the WSOP Main Event in November. The 2009 WSOPE event begins with a 1,000 pounds+60 No Limit Holdem event followed by a brand new addition, a 2,500 pounds+150 pot limit Holdem/Pot Limit Omaha mixed poker event.

Another event will be the 5,000 pounds+250 pot limit Omaha event followed by 10,000 pounds+350 World Championship No Limit Holdem event. All World Series of Poker Europe events are considered to be gold bracelet events. Pre-registration is available for all participants at any London Clubs International venue in Great Britain. Players at the 2009 WSOP in Las Vegas can also preregister for WSOPE event at tournament cage at the Rio Hotel and Casino.
