Bicycle Casino Hosts Celebrity Invitational Tournament

The Bicycle Casino will be hosting a Celebrity Invitational event on July 29th, 2009. The event will feature some of the biggest celebrities including Cheryl Hines, Keyshawn Johnson, Michael Collier, Karri Turner, Carol Fenelon, Eric Dickerson, Camryn Manheim, Damion Marzett and others.

Even poker pros Annie Duke, Men Nguyen, Jerry Yang and others will participate in the event. The 1st place finisher will take home a total of $2,500 with another $2,500 to be awarded to their chosen non-profit organization. The event will take place in the brand new Event Center, which should provide more space for events held in the well-known casino facility.

Bicycle Casino director Kelly O'Hara said that have already a good poker facility for quite some time now but with their newly renovated Event Center, they are now one step ahead from the rest of the competition not only in the Southern California area but the whole country as well.

O'Hara added that this Event Center will be the location of their Legends of Poker event, their WPT televised events and other first-class poker events and important events held there throughout the year. The celebrity event starts at 3:00 p.m. but the public will also have the opportunity to play poker in the new facility when a $335 No-Limit event with a $100 guarantee starts at 7:00 p.m.

Aside from that, the Bicycle Casino is also hosting the Legends of Poker which will begin on July 28th, 2009 until August 30th, 2009. The WPT Main Event will begin on August 22nd, 2009 and the final table will be on August 26th, 2009.
