The 2008 World Series of Poker Pre-Registration Announcement from Harrah's Entertainment

On March 4th, 2008, Harrah's Entertainment announced that that they are already accepting player pre-registration for the 2008 world series of poker Main Event presented by Milwaukee's Best Light. Interested poker players can now register at worldseriesofpoker.com or by going at the main cage of the Rio All-Suit Hotel and Casino, the location for the 2008 World Series of Poker. Instructions for the Pre-registration and the rules of the 2008 World Series of Poker event are placed on the website.

Jack Effel, the tournament director for the World Series of Poker commented that they have only received good feedbacks about the schedule for the 2008 World Series of Poker. The poker tournament offers World Series of Poker bracelets in eight different variations of poker and multiple buy-in disciplines. He added that because no alternates will be given a slot at the 2008 WSOP, they encouraged interested players to register early so that they could have a place on the Internet.

The tournament will accept payments for the buy-in cost in credit cards, cash, checks and others. The 2008 World Series of Poker will start on May 30th, 2008 and will end on July 16th, 2008. It will feature fifty-five bracelet events. The buy-in costs for the tournament will start from $1,000 -$50,000 . The buy-in cost for the WSOP No Limit Hold'em Main Event will remain $10,000.
