National Poker League Paris Open Expected to be The Biggest Poker Event Ever

On March 12, 2007, it was announced that the National Poker League (NPL) 2007 Global Tour will begin at the Paris Open in France on May 13, 2007 at the Cercle Gaillon Casino, which is located near the Arc de Triomphe. The first ever poker tournament for the year 2007 will be shown all over the world in an estimated 500 million households. Poker fans from the United States will be able to watch the poker tournament on the WGN Superstation and the INHD High Definition Network.

Viewers from France will be able to watch the poker games on TF1, Jet Sports, Eurosport and TV Monte Carlo, which will in turn show the 6, 1 hour episodes of the National Poker League. The National Poker League Paris Open will have a buy-in event worth 4,000 Euros + 200 Euros. The poker tournament will run from May 13, 2007 to May 20, 2007 with the final table televised on May 22, 2007. The prize money at the poker tournament will be around 100,000 Euros.

Aside from French players, the NPL event is also expected to attract the best players from Britain, US, Spain and Morocco, as well as Asian and Eastern European players. The NPL event will also offer their players a wonderful and unforgettable experience by having dinner at the top class Queenie Club. On May 21, 2007, the Queenie Club will play host to a charitable gathering that will be mainly sponsored by Louis Vuitton, Dior, Moet and Chandon and Cartier.

The satellite tournaments are being held at the casinos that are affiliated with the NPL, such as the Cercle Gaillon and the Aviation Club in France, the Loose Cannon in the British capital, Casino de Marrakech in Morocco and the Hollywood Park Casino in Los Angeles, California in the United States.
