Three players were sent by Everest Poker to the European Poker Tournament held Oct 26-29 in Dublin's Regency Hotel.
The three players got their respective slots through Everest Poker's EPT direct entry satellite tournaments, a feature in the online poker room that has been offered for more than a year.
These poker satellite tournaments offer buy-ins that start with as low as $5, taking place weeks before each stop in the EPT.
Everest Poker player Julien Grosjean was particularly impressive, placing 63rd out of 400 in his very first live tournament experience. Grosjean is a relative newcomer to Everest Poker, having only joined the site May 2006, where he is sometimes joined by his brother and sister.
The siblings grew up playing card games with their other family members. In Everest Poker, Grosjean consistently finished in the money in the poker tournaments with guarantees going as high as $25,000-30,000.
Grosjean is likewise qualified to compete in Everest Poker's Dec 2 tournament that has a $100,000 guaranteed prize. The $100,000 tournament is set to be the largest single event for the online poker room to date.
On top of the dedicated satellite tournaments, Everest Poker continues to hold Winner's Choice Satellites each Wednesday at 20:00 until Dec 13. Each winner for the Winner's Choice Satellite will get to choose which EPT event they would like to attend.
