On April 4, 2007, the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) announced that there will be a webcast on April 12, 2007, featuring the new PPA Chairman of the Board, Al D'Amato, an ex New York Senator.
The webcast can be viewed by all members of the Poker Players Alliance at 3:00 p.m. EST with free registration at the site of the PPA for poker enthusiasts that are not yet members of the organization. According to the announcement, the membership of the Poker Players Alliance has grown to over 320,000 members, well on its way to reaching the PPA's goal of about a million members.
The webcast by Chairman D'Amato is a chance for poker players to hear the latest news regarding the future of the game of poker, the problems standing in the way of poker and the steps the Poker Players Alliance is taking in order to protect the rights of poker players.
Participants in the Webcast can also ask Chairman D'Amato questions before the webcast or during the actual event.
