Ex-FBI Agent Joe Navarro Conducts Poker Seminar at Caesars Palace

In the game of poker, players must make intelligent choices based on uncertain information. The final result of this decision is an analysis on whether the player is good enough or not. On April 1, 2007, ex-FBI agent, Joe Navarro, gave a seminar held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Nevada, which aimed to help poker players learn more about the body language of their opponents so that they will have an advantage in actual poker games.

Navarro commented on the importance of being able to interpret non-verbal tells or communication, like whether an opponent's look or movement is intentional or not. During the 8 hour seminar, he commented that many poker players give out some vibes regarding the strength or weakness of their hand.

Navarro said that a player should be careful in observing non-verbal tells because you can never be too sure what they mean. He also provided some examples from real situations during poker tournaments. Navarro walked around the room and observed the players during the hands-on part of the poker seminar. Then he told the players what he observed during the drill.

Navarro's poker seminar cost around $999, but one participant, Michael Morales, was able to participate in the seminar for free by voting at the Card Player TV video. Navarro commented that if you want to hide your own poker tells, you can wear a hat or a turtleneck to hide your neck. Sunglasses are also an option, but they are not advisable in the long run as they will also impede your own vision.
