The April Fool's Charity Poker Tournament for the Las Vegas Springs Reserve

Just 3 miles west from the downtown area of Las Vegas is the Las Vegas Springs Reserve. At about one hundred eighty acres, the land that once served as Las Vegas's main water source now offer botanical gardens, museums and different walking trails and nature walks. On April 1st, 2009, poker players are invited to participate in a poker tournament that will benefit the Las Vegas Springs Reserve.

Howard Lederer and his wife Suzie Lederer will host their very first April Fools fundraiser poker event at 3:00 p.m. at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Proceeds from the $230 buy-in cost poker event will go toward the Spring Reserve and a number of poker players have already indicated their intention of participating in the tournament like Jerry Yang, Jamie Gold, Jennifer Harman, Scotty Nguyen, Jeff Madsen and Lee Watkinson.

A slot to the 2009 world series of poker main event will be up for grabs for the winner of this event but the top ten finishers will also receive cash prizes for their performances as well.
