WSOP Welcomes Back PartyPoker as 2007 WSOP Affiliate

On May 11, 2007, Harrah's License Company, an affiliate of Harrah's Entertainment, a subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment Inc., announced that PartyPoker has renewed their commitment to be a sponsor at the 38th yearly World Series of Poker event by Milwaukee's Best Light.

As part of the agreement between the 2 companies, PartyPoker will adapt some of the features of the WSOP for the second time, like including its logo on the poker tables that will be used at the event.

The financial side of the agreement was kept secret from the public. WSOP Commissioner, Jeffrey Pollack, said that they are happy that PartyPoker has come back to the fold.

With a total cash pool of more than $171 million and player registrations of about 48,000, the WSOP last year broke every record for a live poker tournament.

1st prize for the $10,000 buy-in cost No-Limit Texas Hold'em game or the Main Event reached a total of $12 million.

For the 3rd straight year in a row, the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas will be the venue of the WSOP, as well as the yearly gaming expo from July 5-8, 2007.

The World Series of Poker Gaming Life Expo will show different gaming products, books and other paraphernalia for the game of poker. Back in 2006 over 100,000 people visited the gaming expo.

The 2007 WSOP by Milwaukee's Best Light will start on June 1, 2007 at the Rio Casino. Harrah's Entertainment Inc. is the biggest casino organization in the world.
