On October 5th, 2007, PaddyPowerpoker announced that if the poker player who wins the 2008 Irish Poker Open who qualified with Paddypowerpoker, they will get a golden poker ticket. The ticket is a free entry to any tournament for five years.
The top finisher that qualified from the online qualifiers of Paddypowerpoker will also be given a free seat to the 2009 Irish Poker Open, even if they do not win the poker event.
The Irish Poker Open 2008 will be bigger and better than the previous year. The largest incentive for online qualifiers in paddypowerpoker has improved the event together with the buy-in cost for the 2008 tournament has improved to 4,500 euros.
