Glen Chorny at the 6th PokerStars EPT Grand Final

Glen Chorny of Canada was on the top of the poker circuit in the spring of 2008, having just won the 4th edition of the PokerStars EPT (European Poker Tour) Grand Final in Monte Carlo. Then a 22 year-old, Chorny said that he felt like he is one of the best poker players in the world and was confident that the $3,196,354 that he had won was just the first of many wins to come.

Now, two years later, outside of a final table appearance at the $5,000 Caesars Palace Classic in 2009, he has done almost nothing but initially do well in the tournament but finding a way to lose. Chorny said that it is really hard to win. He said that he had no idea how hard it was to take home the title before he won the PokerStars EPT Grand Final.

Always a confident poker player, Chorny has done his best to scale down the effect of the vicious beats that he encountered in the past two years. He said that he is still confident about his chances but it just affects him like crazy.

Returning to the location of his biggest poker win in the Season 6 PokerStars EPT Grand Final on April 26th, 2010, Chorny is hoping that he can find the luck that he have left almost two years ago. He said that he feels like that this is the place where it does not matter how his luck in poker has been anywhere else.

But the problem is that when he returned last year as the defending champion, he felt the same way. Chorny said that he felt really good coming back at the PokerStars EPT Grand Final but on Day One, he lost twice with his pocket aces and he was gone.

But regardless, the native from Timmins, Ontario said that he takes comfort in the fact that his skills are improving, despite the results. The 6th PokerStars EPT Grand Final continues through April 30th, 2010.
