WSOP Offers World Series of Poker Academy

On April 22nd, 2009, the world series of poker is offering 4 different options for poker players to polish their game during the 2009 World Series of Poker. This year, the WSOP Academy will feature a Cash Game Academy, a Ladies only poker event, tournament academy and a main event poker primer. Brandon Rosen of Poast Oak Productions, which produces the World Series of Poker Academy.

Rosen said that their upcoming WSOP Academy events are the best option that players can prepare themselves for the WSOP. Starting off the poker academies during the World Series of Poker will be the Cash Game Academy on May 30th, 2009 until May 31st, 2009. Under the supervision of poker players like Mark Seif, Alex Outhred and Mark Gregorich, the Cash Game Academy will deal on topics like transitioning from game play to cash game play, how to effectively manage your bankroll during the game and others.

Video analysis of monetary game play will also be featured, with teachers dissecting each card hand and discussing different methods of game play. From June 5th, 2009 until June 6th, 3009, the WSOP Academy will offer a Ladies only event class with instructors like Annie Duke and Alex Outhred. Former FBI agent Joe Navarro will also give a class regarding poker tells. This will also be the teachers that will teach on the Tournament Academy on June 13th, 2009 until June 14th, 2009 with the addition of Mr. Bernard Lee.

The Ladies Only Event class and the Tournament Academy will both deals with the different aspects of No-Limit Texas Holdem poker tournament strategy like player position, cash pot odds and the importance of knowing when to be aggressive or not. The final WSOP camp is the Main Event primer on June 29th, 2009 until July 1st, 2009 featuring poker pros Annie Duke, Greg Raymer, Mark Seif, Phil Gordon, Joe Navarro, Phil Hellmuth and Alex Outhred as poker teachers. This camp is focused on the more advanced strategies used in No-Limit Texas Holdem tournament.
