Warme Wins in the Pacific Poker Freeroll

On December 22nd, 2007, Thomas Chtulhu Warme's poker game is outstanding and when he had a chance of winning the Pacific poker/PokerListings Christmas freeroll poker tournament he did not pull any stops.

The 24 year-old poker player from Linkoping, Sweden managed to outwit 153 other poker players to win $4,500 for finishing in 1st place. It is a surprising victory for the student of physics and electrical engineering at the University of Linkoping. Warme said that he always try to join tournaments at PokerListings especially the freerolls because it offers good prizes and you can win a significant amount of money without spending too much cash.

Although it was a freeroll event, it was the biggest win for Warme, whose previous winnings were $600. In the last card hand of the tournament, Warme was an even match with his opponent, burger 27, in total chips. Warme possess $125,000 in total chips while burger27 possess $105,000 in total chips.

Warme possess a J-7 off suit and decided to raise it up to $25,000 pre-flop. burger27 call and the flop came Q-J-6 with two clubs. burger27 then pushed all of the remaining $80,000 and Warme made the call. Burger27 then featured K-T for an open-ended straight draw.

Warme's jacks prevailed and he won the event. Warme has been enjoying poker for about 5 years now and says he was immediately drawn to playing poker for cash. Warme usually enjoys poker although he most enjoys playing for cash, either the No-Limit Holdem poker or Pot Limit Omaha.
