Wager on a Good Future for Children by Joining Charity Poker in Honor of Lincoln Abraham

A charitable organization is hoping for full attendance at the poker tournament they have organized, which is inspired by former Golders Green resident, Lincoln Abraham . Lincoln Abraham was just 34 years old when he was killed in the December 2004 Tsunami in Southeast Asia.

Before his untimely death, Abraham campaigned for the welfare of children's charitable organizations in their area. The Lincoln Abraham Organization was organized in 2005 and is continuing Lincoln Abraham's dreams by organizing a poker tournament on April 19, 2007. The poker tournament will be held in the Raglan Hotel in Muswell Hill.

Paul Simmons, a close friend of Mr. Abraham's and the poker tournament organizer, commented that the organization was founded in 2005 as they tried to comprehend the loss that they suffered and make something meaningful out of it. He said that Lincoln had given so much effort and time to charities in the area. He lived the life everyone wished for.

Lincoln Abraham had a very successful career in the city, but he did not marry or have a family of his own. The charitable organization made in his memory aims to help poor children and inspire them to strive for themselves. The charity has already raised more than 50,000 pounds.

There are seats for all the 144 participants in the game of poker, with the champion of the poker tournament winning a seat at the Poker World Championship which will be shown on Channel Five.

The charity will also host a limited edition memorabilia auction, like football shirts from legendary football players Pele and Diego Maradona and an authentic gold disc that was given by U2. Seats for the poker tournament cost around 100 pounds. Organizers of the poker tournament are hoping to raise around 40,000 pounds.
