Ultimate Poker Challenge's Cash Poker Tournament Features Amateur Qualifiers

On February 28, 2007, the brand new show of the Ultimate Poker Challenge (UPC), The Cash Poker Tournament will give anyone the chance to play poker on National Television. It is also the very first televised high-stakes poker game to showcase online satellite entries.

The Cash Poker Tournament, held at the Binion's Hotel and Casino, will feature about 18 players pitting their skills against each other. The buy-in cost for the poker tournament ranges from $25,000 to $100,000 in the no limit hold'em cash games. The rebuys at the tournament, which cost around $10,000, will be allowed to participate at any given time.

Players in the poker tournament can also immediately cash out and leave if they lose or if they have played for at least 4 hours. Some of the famous names expected to join the event are Kenna James, Chad Brown, Tex Barch, Robert Williamson III, Mike Matusow, Cyndy Violette, Doyle Brunson, Dan Harrington, David Williams and more. There will be a single seat per table for the online qualifiers.

Interested players can qualify for a spot in satellite tournaments. Binion's Hotel and Casino will also host live-poker satellite entries for Cash Poker. The tournament will have a $500 buy-in cost, plus a $50 entry fee and winner-take-all events.
