The widely respected Asian Poker Tournament Tourrecently announced that their widely respected poker tournament Director Matt Savage will personally direct next month's poker event in Manila, Philippines. The Manila leg of the Asian Poker Tour will have a $2,500 buy-in cost with a one million dollars cash pool.
It is also considered to be a high-stakes poker event but nothing that Matt Savage cannot handle. Savage is honed and equipped with a number years of experience in different events and running top class poker events like the world series of poker, which is considered to be the Main Poker event of the year and handling more than three hundred televised events.
This Asian Poker Tour will be held at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel from May 27th, 2008 and it will end on June 1st, 2008. The organizers of the event are expecting more than four hundred participants, with 1/3 of the participants from the Philippines. Some of the other stops in Asia are Macau, South Korea and Singapore. Last year's Asian Poker Tour that are held in Manila was a big success as it attracted a lot of players from the U.S., Europe, Asia as well as poker players from the Philippines.
