Three Bodog Poker Players Wins $12,000 Prize Package for 2009 WSOP Main Event

On July 17th, 2008, as the final cards were being given at the 2008 world series of poker in Las Vegas, three online poker players were already being awarded seats to the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event. The three slots are the first to be given by any Internet poker site and were won in the final event of the Bodog Poker Mini Series a twenty-five tournament series imitating the Holdem poker events at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas with buy-in cost equal to just a single percent of the actual buy-in cost of the World Series of Poker Main Event.

Morris Mohawk Gaming Group Chief Executive Officer Alwynn Morris commented that Team Bodog players have a great run in this year WSOP and they are already preparing for next year's event by giving the three slots to the 2009 WSOP main event.

The twenty-seven player final event of the Bodog Mini Series composed of the top 4 poker players on the Tournament Leader Board, eighteen poker players from the semifinal qualifier and five players from a wild card drawing from the players who had at least participated in three mini series events. The Final table happened on July 10th, 2008 and top three finishers were given $12,000 main event prize packages with the rest of final 9 players receiving T$109.

With buy-in costs starting from as low as $10 + $1 dollar up to $100 + $9, the Bodog Poker Mini Series were a good value for poker players of different skill levels. Next year's Main Event is just one of the events held all over the world that poker players can participate through Bodog.
