On June 12th, 2008, around 112 participants at the Bodog Waterford Open poker tournament tried to get the biggest share of the cash pool of 70,500 euros on the second day of the event. The Bodog Lounge also feature a Wii, allowing participants to enjoy virtual tennis while taking a break from the competition.
In the poker area, the most significant knockout happened to Brian "The Fox'O'Keefe" who was very unlucky that his opponent only choose to hit a single card that could help him win the hand. O'Keefe then joined the 250 euros poker event hoping that he would have better luck.
One of the most climactic hands witnessed on the 2nd day of the Bodog Waterford Open was the hand played by Gerry Wall, who have managed what most players failed to do during the event. Going to the 3rd day of the event, the chip leader for the main event is Mick G who has three hundred twenty thousand chips. The previous chip leader was Simon McGechie, who possess ninety thousand chips. Poker player Anthony is also in a good position to edge out Mick G with his 275,000 chips.
