On April 22nd, 2008, the second day of the world poker tour Championship saw development on the ongoing action from the first day of the championship. Deep beginning stacks limited the numbers of players that have been eliminated to just 121 players, while around 233 players were eliminated from the second day of the event. It is a big possibility that the player field of the 2008 World Poker Tour World Championship will be considered as one of the toughest and diverse no-limit event of all time.
Each poker table contains at least five poker players with some featuring as many as eight professional poker players. Some of the poker players that busted during the second day were Phil Hellmuth, Joe Hachem, Chris Ferguson, Michael Mizrachi and Paul Wasicka. Poker pro Robert Mizrachi finished the second day in top position with more than 500,000 chips.
Bryan Devonshire was able to get cash pots from Eli Elezra, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Galfond, which helped him finished in 4th position. The top ten for the 2nd day of the event were 1st, Robert Mizrachi with $523,200 in total chips. 2nd, Jayde Tran with $406,700 in total chips.
3rd, Eric Richards with $399,500 in total chips. 4th, Bryan Devonshire with $393,400 in total chips. 5th, Cory Caroll with $384,700 in total chips. 6th, John Celii with $376,800 in total chips. 7th, Carlos Mortensen with $371,600 in total chips. 8th, Kenny Tran with $367,400 in total chips. 9th, Michael Gracz with $364,800 in total chips and Jonathan Kalmar with $333,900 in total chips.
