
PokerStars announced a new regional poker tour on April 5th, 2010, the France Poker Series. The inaugural seasons of this brand new poker series will feature seven poker stops, starting with the first event on May 1st, 2010-May 2nd, 2010 at the Casino de Beaulieu on the French Riviera. The grand final will take place in Paris, France and the tournament dates are to be decided.
There will also be one poker event in Morocco (which was a former protectorate of France) at a place and time that are still to be decided. Team France PokerStars Pro members who will be participating at the France Poker Series include poker pros Arnaud Mattern, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Thomas Bichon.
The buy-in cost for each of these no-limit holdem poker tournaments is 1,200 euros and the participation cap for the first poker event is three hundred players. The cap at the other stops of the FPS tour will be 400 players.
The next events will be on September 25th, 2010-September 26th, 2010: Divonne, October 17th, 2010-October 18th, 2010: Saint Amand, November 13th, 2010-Lyon and December 18th, 2010-December 19th, 2010: Forge.
