An amateur poker player has won an astounding prize, which is the dream of every poker player. This prize includes a buy-in to 10 major poker tournaments, a one-on-one lesson with a professional poker player and a free stab at over $100 million in prize money.
On March 4, 2007, the lucky poker player, Scott Carroll, won the poker tournament, which was sponsored by Absolute Poker, with the top prize of $125,000. The tournament buy-ins that Carroll won include the World Series of Poker main event, 5 World Poker Tour events and the Ultimate Poker Challenge's high stakes poker game, which will be televised on National Television.
Carroll will also be taught by 2007 Player of the Year, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. Carroll said that he is very happy with his winnings and all of his friends are envious of his good fortune since they are serious poker players as well. Carroll also plans to take advantage of this opportunity and see where this open door will lead him.
According to Carroll, before winning this tournament, his biggest poker accomplishment was winning around $8,000 in Tunica, Mississippi at the $200 second-chance poker tournament.
