Sander Lylloff of Denmark Triumphs in EPTs Barcelona Tournament

On September 1st, 2007, Sander Lylloff from Denmark is the champion of pokerstars' European poker Tour in Barcelona, Spain, winning 1,170,700 euros for his efforts. He edged out his friend and roommate, two-time EPT London season two winner Mark Teltscher in the heads-up showdown after he got all of his chips placed in the pre-flop with a K-K card hand but was defeated by Lylloff's J-ten which get two jacks on the board.

Before the start of the tournament, the participants were Nikolaus Jedlicka from Austria with 879,000 euros, Mika Paasonen from Finland with 715,000 euros, Sander Lylloff from Denmark with 646,000 euros, Juan Maceiras from Spain with 585,000 euros, Mark Teltscher from United Kingdom with 533,000 euros, Adam Junglen from United States with 419,000 euros, Tronde Eidsvig from Norway with 339,000 euros, Mohamad Kowssarie from Sweden with 294,000 euros, Patrick Bruel from France with 270,000 euros, Voitto Rintala from Finland with 253,000, Davidi Kitai from Belgium with 219,000 euros, Greg Dyer from the United States with 155,000 euros and Philip Yeh from Sweden with 116,000 euros.

Voitto Rintala busted early and finished in 13th place when his nine-seven was edged out by Greg Dyer's A-nine card and was followed out by Philip Yeh in the 12th place for 46,000 euros whose six-four cards lose to David Kitai's A-K cards. Kitai was the next to go in 11th place when his Q-Q cards did not do anything against Sandor Lyllof's A-A cards.

He won 46,000 euros for his performance in the tournament. Mohammad Kowssarie was the leader at the start of the 3rd day but he busted out in 10th place in his pre-flop of Q-three against Greg Dyer's A-K cards. He won 64,800 euros. Crowd favorite Juan Maceiras failed to reach the final table due to Greg Dyer's A-K cards. Maceiras won 64,800 euros.

The final table was made of Gregory Dyer of the United States with 1,606,000 euros, Adam Junglen of the United States with 320,000 euros, Nikolaus Jedlicka from Austria with 569,000 euros, Mika Paasonen from Finland with 924,000 euros, Mark Teltscher from United Kingdom with 676,000 euros, Sander Lylloff from Denmark with 502 euros, Trond Eisvig from Norway with 452,000 euros and Patrick Bruel from France with 374,000 euros.

The heads-up showdown was between Lylloff and Teltscher. Lylloff has a two to one chip lead with the blinds at 200,000 euros-40,000 euros and it was finished in just a few card hands when Teltscher put all in with K-K and Lylloff called him with a J-ten. A jack card on the flop and another jack on the river gave the win to Lylloff. Teltscher won 673,000 euros and Lylloff won 1.17 million euros. The PokerStars European Poker will be held in London on September 25th, 2007.
