The PokerStars EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Tournament

On February 28th, 2009, PokerStars, the biggest web poker site in the world announced the schedule for the 5th season of the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo-Europe's biggest and richest one week poker tournament. The PokerStars Monte Carlo European Poker Tour Grand Final event will start on April 27th, 2009 and will end on May 3rd, 2009, offering players the opportunity to join fourteen separate poker event making the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final the most exciting poker event ever held in the European continent.

The 14 poker events will be divided across 1 week to give non-stop poker action in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world. PokerStars is doing everything in its power to make sure that poker players will have different chances to win their slot in the event. Satellite tournaments are already being offered on PokerStars for the Main Event. The EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final Main Event 2008 attracted more than 840 poker enthusiasts, with twenty two year old Glen Chorny from Canada winning the event and taking home more than $3.15 million.

This year's tournament, the $12,633 or 10,000 euros buy-in cost for the No Limit Holdem Championship is set to break records previously achieved at a European Poker event. With more than one thousand poker players expected to participate on the event, there is an estimated $12 million cash pool.
