Susquehanna International Group, LLP, (SIG) a leading financial institution, is set to host seniors from top colleges and universities around the country in a poker tournament at its Bala Cynwyd headquarters that is set to begin on October 21st.
The poker tournament participants are candidates for SIG's Technology and Trading Development Programs.
"We believe that recruiting top talent is the most critical element of our future success," stated Todd Simkin, Susquehanna Director of Recruitment. He added that they are holding the poker tournament with the belief that the program candidates will gain a better feel for the culture and breadth of the company by playing the game of poker in such a setting.
"We value rigorous analytical thinking and believe that its application is critical to success in trading as well as in developing technology to support it," Simkin added.
Approximately 80 students will take part in the weekend tournament from the following schools: Berkeley, California Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon, Claremont McKenna, Columbia, Cornell, Drexel, Duke, MIT, Northwestern, NYU, Penn State, Princeton, St. Joseph's University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Stanford, Washington University, University of Chicago, University of Maryland, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania and University of Virginia.
