Poker Pros to Leap From 10,000 Feet in Losers Leap

InterPoker.com will be throwing their players out of a plane in preparation for the World Series of Poker. Poker professionals will be leaping out of a plane that will be hovering over Las Vegas at the latest Extreme Poker Challenge called "Loser's Leap".

The event takes off July 26 literally at Jean Airport. Some of the participants are Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari and Scott Fischman.

As the players run out of chips and time, they will be shown the open door at 20,000 feet. The last player to remain aboard the aircraft shall be named the champion.

The game, as with the two previous Extreme Poker challenges, would be Texas Hold'em and will feature team InterPoker players and online qualifiers from InterPoker.com site. The qualifying online tournament takes place on Saturday July 15th at 14:30 EDT.

The winner of this event shall find himself a seat on the July 26 challenge playing with the pros in a single winner-take-all game, thousands of feet above Las Vegas and only days before the World Series of Poker Main Event.

"This Extreme Poker event creates an unprecedented challenge for the players to overcome because each of them will have to fight through the stress of knowing that if they lose, they're going to jump out of a perfectly good airplane," said InterPoker spokesperson Peter Marcus.

"In this event, the poker pros aren't just overcoming some discomfort or strange circumstances, there will be a huge element of adrenaline and a degree of genuine fear. That will make for an even more entertaining time for everyone," he added.
