On July 3, 2007, poker legend Doyle Brunson gave a good effort but he failed to get his 11th World Series of Poker bracelet at the final table of the $10,000 POT Limit Omaha Poker event.
Doyle Brunson entered the final table of the event in 5th place and failed to improve from there, eventually finishing in 6th place with $123,697 in cash prizes. Brunson was defeated by Patrik "the Black Lotus" Antonius.
Antonius is currently 1 of the remaining 3 at the final table of the $10,000 POT Limit Omaha Poker Event. Robert Mizrachi and Rene Mouritsen are the 2 other players remaining at the table. Many people were hoping that Antonius would win the event.
There are 2 poker tournaments this year that either Johnny Chan or Doyle Brunson can join in order to catch up with the 11 bracelets that Phil Hellmuth won.
These are the $5,000 No Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball with re-buys poker tournament and the $10,000 WSOP main event of the game of poker. Neither poker event will be a walk in a park.
