The Poker Events at the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XI

On February 11th, 2009, Full Tilt Poker tripled up on events in the Full Tilt Online Poker Series XI, offering players a No-Limit Holdem rebuy and add-on poker event, some H.O.R.S.E. and a No-Limit Holdem Turbo Six Max event. The first two poker events for the day each had $300,000 guaranteed cash pools while the turbo poker event bumped up to a $500,000 guarantee, ensuring that a lot of online poker players would want to participate. The first event was the $200 +$16 No Limit Holdem with a single rebuy and add-on, hosted by Dag Mikkelsen.

With 1,210 poker players buying into the poker event, the cash pool was improved to $575,200, with the winner taking home $126,544. Among the 135 poker players in the money were Stuart Paterson and David Pham, but it was Darren "darrenelias" Elias who won the event. This is not Elias' first time at the poker rodeo. Elias also had a final table appearance in a February 2008 FTOPS poker events where he cashed in for $50,000. The $500 +$35 H.O.R.S.E. event hosted by Andy Bloch on Tuesday was not as popular as some of the other poker events have been.

It attracted around 703 participants, which was still good enough to improve the $300,000 guaranteed cash pool to $351,500. Ali Nejad cashed in 27th place and Erick Lindgren made the money in 69th place, while Casey "bigdogpckt5s" Jarzabeck picked up the win and the $75,572.50 top cash prize. This is Jarzabeck's 2nd FTOPS win. He won the FTOP X$300 +$22 No-Limit Holdem event with $1.5 million guaranteed cash pool in November 2008 as well.

The $200 +$16 No Limit Holdem Turbo Six-Max event capped the night on Tuesday and also drew a substantial playing field. More than 2,500 poker players compete for a part of the $500,000 guaranteed cash pool, which ended up at $505,600 once the registration for the poker event was closed. The only Full Tilt poker player among the 306 participants who cashed in was Scott Fischman, who landed in 198th place to take home $364.03.

The winner was less known player called daCav04. He picked up a total of $99,582.98 for the win. Despite his anonymity compared to the other winners from Tuesday, daCav04 also seen relative success at past FTOPS events. On November 2008, he managed to finish in the final table of the FTOPS X Event 11 for a $120,000 win as well. Action continues in the FTOPS X1 with two more poker events. Ross Boatman is hosting a $200 +$16 Omaha 8 or better tournament with a $150,000 guarantee.
