Phil Ivey Fails to Win The World Poker Tour Mirage Poker Showdown

On May 24, 2007, the final table of the WPT Mirage Poker Showdown and the WSOP circuit tournament in New Orleans were held with 2 famous poker Phils playing at the final table.

But neither poker pro Phil Ivey nor Phil Gordon won their respective events. At the WPT Mirage poker tournament final table, which featured new hostess Layla Kayleigh, Phil Ivey just finished in 5th place with $129,684.

The eventual champion at the event was Jonathan Little who won a total of $1,066,295. The tournament event was the breakout tournament for Jonathan Little who previously joined the Mirage Heads-Up Championship Event.

He has also placed in the 8 position at the $2,500 buy-in poker event.

Little's heads-up opponent at the Mirage Poker Showdown was Cory "UGOTPZD" Carroll who won a total of $561,369 and 3rd place winner Darrel "Gigabet who won $259,369.

Both players are well-known online poker players. Richard Kirsch finished in 4th place with $172,912 and Amnon Filippi finished in 6th place with $100,865.

Phil Gordon ended up in 4th place with $116,697 at the WSOP Circuit Event. Lou Esposito started the game with a quarter of chip stack against Gordon, but ultimately prevailed and takes home the $10,000 WSOP Main Event and the cash prize of $516,801.
