PartyPoker Hosts Poker Event for Worlds Strongest Man Competition

The average poker enthusiasts will never participate in the World's Strongest Man competition but PartyPoker is giving them an opportunity to watch the event. PartyPoker, which recently became a sponsor of the well-known Strongman event, will be giving a way sixteen trips to poker players based in the Great Britain, Poland, Russia, Denmark, Sweden or Sweden.

Each prize package is worth 1,500 euros and includes travel and accommodations for the World's Strongest Man event, wine tasting and touring in the country of Malta and the one hundred euros entry into an exclusive poker event at the Casino De Venezia with a guaranteed cash pool of 2,000 euros.

A PartyPoker spokesperson said that the packages can be won through their exclusive "The World's Strongest Man" twenty PartyPoint buy-in poker events. The spokesperson added that both start at 15:00 ET on September 13th, 2009 and September 20th, 2009 with top 8 poker players in each event taking home a prize package.

The World's Strongest Man event began in 1977 and has since become a well-recognized strength event with winners like Magnus Ver Magnusson, Mariusz Pudzianowski and Phil Pfister. Well-known individual events in the tournament include Atlas Stones, the Airplane Pull and Tug of War. The event is shown internationally on Five, ESPN and ESPN2.
