Paris Poker Open Considered the Biggest Poker Tournament in Europe

On April 2, 2007, the National Poker League (NPL) 2007 Global Circuit announced that they will be launching the tour with the start of the Paris Open in France this coming May 13, 2007. This tournament will be held in the Cercle Gaillon near the historic Arc de Triomphe.

While the other poker tournaments in France are canceling or postponing their events, the National Poker League is set to transform itself as the premier poker league on the European circuit. Since the National Poker League is considered a poker organization and is not connected to any online poker sites, the French Officials and the media organizations have supported the Paris Open.

Participants can be assured of the prize pool of about 3,500,000 euros. The first ever National Poker League tour for 2007 will be shown all over the world. Viewers in the United States will be able to watch the poker tournament on CBS TV Station Groups, the WGN Superstation and the INHD High Definition Network.

Viewers from France will be able to watch the show in TF1, JetSports, Eurosports and TV MonteCarlo. The National Poker League Paris Poker Open will showcase $4,000 + $200 buy-in costs for the event from May 13-22, 2007. The poker tournament circuit will add 100,000 euros. Aside from the best poker players in France, the National Poker League will have British, American, Spanish, Moroccan, Asian and Eastern European poker players.

Players should register early in order to ensure their place in the tournament. Satellite tournaments are held on a weekly basis at the casino partners, like the Cercle Gaillon and the Aviation Club in France, the Loose Cannon in London, the Casino de Marrakech in Morocco and the Hollywood Park Casinos in Los Angeles, California.
