NLOP Announces Launch of Pigskin and Poker Tournament Series

On November 1st, the Power Play Development Corporation launched a new tournament series called Pigskin and Poker on the National League of Poker (NLOP) site. Since its formal launch this summer, NLOP has quickly become the fastest growing US legal site for the game of poker on the net, with an average of 750 registrations daily.

Pigskin and Poker is set to run weekly beginning October 28th all the way to January 28, 2007. Registered participants can enter different NLOP contests and collect poker points for their outstanding play. No purchase is required for Pigskin and Poker, and the contestant need only be 21 or older at the time of registration to join.

"With companies such as Party Poker abandoning the US market because of the recently passed Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, millions of poker players are looking for a new home," said Michael Clebnik, COO of Power Play. "Our hope is that they will join the tens of thousands that have already found NLOP."

Over $35,000 in cash will be awarded during the 10-week promotion. Moreover, a $10,000 seat at next year's World Series of Poker is up for grabs.
