In February, poker aficionados can get free poker lessons from world series of poker (WSOP) champion, Mike Sexton, at the Fairmont Southampton Princess.
The Fairmont has partnered with the European Poker and WSOP winner and it is offering a 3 day package set to take place from February 8-11, 2007.
Poker players can avail of this once-in-a-lifetime offer for a starting price of $849, a fee that will cover accommodation at the Fairmont, meals, a poker tutorial with Sexton, a 3 hour session of Pick-up Poker, a world poker tour Events Texas Hold-em Tournament, and a golf clinic. However, alcohol is not included in the fee.
Winners of the games will be awarded with prizes in kind, not money. First placer will receive a 7 night stay at the Fairmont Monte Carlo, as well as round-trip tickets for 2.
Runner up for the event will win a 5 day stay and round-trip tickets for 2 to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Meanwhile, third place will also receive the same package for the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma Valley.
"We wanted to host our own poker tour and so we developed a program in conjunction with World Poker Tour Events that would allow us to do that and at the same time adhere to Bermuda's laws about gambling," said Elizabeth Gadosky, Fairmont's Product Development Manager.
