Michael Mizrachi Wins Mirage Poker Showdown Tournament

It would be foolish to believe that beginners luck will be enough to win the Mirage Poker Showdown, especially with the top players in the game of poker participating in the tournament.

On May 12, 2007, famed poker pro Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi won the Poker No-Limit Hold'em tournament at the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas Strip. The tournament had a buy-in cost of $2,000.

Mizrachi won a total of $75,000 and a slot at the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event in July 2007. He competed against a lot of people, including eventual 3rd place finisher, Nam Le.

Nam Le won a total of $50,000. Aside from that, Jared Hamby, known by his online alias, "The Waco Kidd" won the May 10, 2007 No-Limit Hold'em poker tournament, edging out Tony Cousineau.

Cousineau finished third, taking home $21,000. Other players who participated in the tournament are Men "The Master" Nguyen.

Nguyen finished in 17th place, taking home $2,000. Poker Player Tom McEvoy finished in 20th place, taking home $1,400 in total prizes.

The No Limit Hold'em poker tournament on May 11, 2007 saw WSOP winner, Randy Holland, capture first place to take home a total of $125,000.

Poker player, Kenna James, finished in 4th place to take home $27,000. James Van Alstyne finished in 8th place for a total of $6,000 in cash prizes. Joanne "JJ" Liu finished in 14th place with a $3,000 purse.
