List of WSOP Final Table Guest Announcers Released

To be able to keep the audience entertained and asking for more, a program must steadily keep on innovating itself and coming up with fresh new ideas, especially with a show that is establishing itself as the event of all poker events. And this is exactly what the World Series of Poker 2006 broadcast is offering its audience this tournament season.

The World Series of poker has been around for thirty-seven years but with innovations on the broadcast things are about to change. This year's World Series of Poker promises to be more exciting than ever before as it introduces a new twist in their tour coverage. The WSOP has added a celebrity roster of guest announcers that will surely keep the audience glued to their seats from start to finish.

The addition of celebrity announcers is a refreshing approach and a welcome break from the traditional monotonous approach of past to broadcasts. This year's WSOP championships will be held from July 28 all the way to August 10 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

Executives at Harrah's entertainment are thrilled with the idea. Harrah's Director of Communications Gary Thompson and Tournament Director Robert Daily credit WSOP Payouts Manager Dianna Donofrio for the new concept.

"She's taken the ball and run with this one," says Daily. "Dianna comes up with creative ways to improve operations all the time. And this one she carried all on her own. Donofrio has been affiliated with WSOP for over twenty years and knows the tour inside and out.

Poker stars will have the opportunity to show their talents off the table and impart insights as they comment on their co-player's games. The broadcast will feature segments like "The Mouth and the Shiek," "Philly and Tilly," and "The Kid," that will make the games more appealing than ever.
