
On April 29th, 2009, the world series of poker Circuit event at Caesars Palace has always been one of the most prominent poker stops on the tour simply because of its location in the strip. The $5,000 championship tournament attracted a playing field of 187 participants and produced a cash pool of $896,950.
The first participant to go home was Evgeny Serebryakov of Russia, who had previously won a preliminary tournament at the Five-Diamond World Poker Classic last December 2008. Serebryakov gambled on a risky squeeze play that was busted by Justin Bonomo. Serebryakov won a total of $34,666 for his 9th place finish.
Finishing in 8th place shortly after was Nashaat "Tony" Antonious, who won a total of $29,151 for his efforts in the final table. The next two participants to go home were former World Series of Poker C-ring winners; Jack Schanbacher who went home in 7th place, adding $35,870 to his poker winnings, bringing his overall winnings to more than $1 million and Dwyte Pilgrim finished in 6th place with $44,848 in total cash prize.
WSOP bracelet winner Matt "mattg1983" Graham went home in 5th place after keeping the chip at one point. The 25 year-old poker pro won a total of $56,059. Jeremiah "BrandiFan" DeGreef may not be a well-known poker pro yet but DeGreef had plenty of support from the online poker community. DeGreef won a total of $71,756 for his 4th place finish.
