Golden Nugget and Poker Pro Phil Ivey to Host Charity Poker Event

On June 18th, 2008, the biggest hotel and Casino facility in the downtown area of Las Vegas, the Golden Nugget and poker player Phil Ivey will collaborate to host the Budding Ivey Foundation Charity poker tournament on July 1st, 2008, Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. The no limit Texas Holdem charity poker event will be hosted by celebrity tournament director Matt Savage and will be held in the Golden Nugget center where the Grand Poker Series is currently being held.

All of the profits from the tournament will be given to the Budding Ivey foundation. The suggested donation for the event is $1,000. There will be an optional $500 re-donations for additional poker event chip through the twenty-minute rounds and a $500 chance add-on for the starting chips. The 1st place cash is at $10,000.

The Budding Ivey Foundation is a charitable organization that is solely dedicated to giving educational opportunities and helping at risk kids and their families to succeed in life. Empowered 2 Excel gives poor kids the opportunity to study. Ivey said that they are now focused on helping Empowered 2 Excel to raise the money it needs to help children to study. The charity poker event will be held together with Budding Ivey Game Night Celebration and the 6th annual World Series of Barbecue.

Participants may join the private party that will start at 6:00 p.m. at the Tank, the newest attraction at the Golden Nugget, which shows different kinds of marine life, a water slide and seven cabanas.
